How to celebrate Daddy dearest – 90s style!

So father’s day was a couple of days ago and I came across an ad with the theme ‘show love offline’, that brought back some memories from my childhood and made me wonder what the world has come to because of social media. We don’t need to read books, watch movies or be told by someone, to fall in love with another person. It happens every day. We watch tv and fall in love with an actor/actress. We read a book and fall in love with a character portrayed by the author. We meet new people and sometimes fall in love with them almost instantaneously. I love road-trips! Nothing beats the joy of just loading the car up and taking off on a journey to explore the beauty of this world. Around this time last year, my husband began planning one to celebrate my birthday but he was stuck trying to pick a place for hours on end. Eventually, he decided to let my bucket list take over and guess what was on it, ‘VISIT A LIGHTHOUSE’. I am a hopeless romantic and find lighthouses adorable. The entire ambiance of a tower on a cliff, facing the ocean is just irresistible to me.
