I was in the shower the other day, freaking out about roaches and spiders every time I closed my eyes when it suddenly hit me. It is very easy to visualize our worst fears. It comes naturally to us. However, sometimes we find it beyond impossible to visualize our dreams. Shouldn’t it be the other way round? Do we lack faith in our dreams?
Our worst fears may never come true, but with faith, our dreams absolutely can. The next time you find yourself freaking out about your worst fears, call yourself on it and try shifting your focus to your dreams. Let faith be greater than fear. This can change your life. If I spent half the time that I spend worrying about the bug world taking over and attacking me, believing in my dreams, most of them would be the reality that I live in.
Oh, wait! Fear of bugs isn’t the only kind out there. Fear of failure is a mean old one that most people go through. Every time I try to visualize a dream, a million things that can go wrong just pop into my head unannounced. The fear of failure starts looming in like impending doom. I tend to let the fear take over and give myself reasons to not follow the dream that I am trying to visualize.
If instead, I said to myself “Faith is greater than fear”, and believed it, dreams would be a reality.
I have made a conscious decision to let my faith lead me. I want you to do the same.
Fear is the strongest poison, Faith (belief)is the only antidote! Well written article.
Well said Adarsh 🙂 Thank you!
